As a result, supernatural events have begun to occur, and it's up to the player to navigate this bizarre landscape. The game follows an 18-year-old protagonist who is attacked by a woman named Delia and loses his arm. However, he soon meets a woman from a dating app who replaces his lost arm with a magical, glowing one that can transform into a sword.

Along the way, the protagonist meets his best friend and falls in love with a pop star idol. The game features a unique calendar system where certain tasks trigger time to pass, changing what activities are available. As the player progresses through the game, they will encounter various characters who can increase their relationship level by choosing specific dialogue options.

The combat system is reminiscent of hack and slash games, where players use special abilities granted by other characters to defeat enemies. The Elemental Gauge fills up when attacking or dodging enemy attacks, allowing for powerful elemental fist attacks that break enemy barriers in a quick-time event. Combos can also be built up by hitting an enemy multiple times within a short period, unlocking stronger attacks and finishers.

Eternights received mixed reviews from critics but has still managed to sell 150,000 units by April 2024. The game was released physically for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 16, 2023, and digitally for the same platforms as well as Windows on September 12, 2023.
